About
Timberwick Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept arguing about which games were actually worth the storage space on our phones. At some point the notes got long enough that a proper site made more sense than endless messages, so here we are.
We're small and independent. Nobody tells us what to cover, and we don't run a scoreboard of who paid for attention. The editorial team installs a game, plays it over several sessions on different devices, and only then sits down to write.
Games get picked for one of two reasons: either lots of readers keep asking about something, or one of us falls down a rabbit hole and can't stop talking about it. We try to keep the catalogue varied, so you'll see puzzles sitting next to racing games and slow strategy titles.
If a game bores us, we say so. If it surprises us, we say that too. The whole point is that you can trust the tone, even when you disagree with the score.
